Using More Than One Beatboxer in a Song
Traditionally, a cappella has kept to having multiple singers and one beatboxer to hold together the rhythm. As beatboxing has been increasing in popularity, more and more people have been picking up on the skills and techniques. This is something that can really add more texture to an arrangement when working with another beatboxer thoughtfully. This is an interactive class where we pair up and try some noises together.

Body/Mind Awareness
Discovering the inner connections of our bodymind through music

Put your new Sasha Fierce to work in this class that focuses on movement through music. Why do we sing? How can we set and change a vibration? Through this class we will seek to discover what is already within us: the bodymind connection, and how to utilize it in our rehearsals and in our daily lives to become better musicians, singers, and performers. Come to this class with an open mind and willingness to release emotions that block ourselves from creating human connections. Using the elements as our guide, we'll signify the importance of conscious awareness in our bodymind connection and how it effects our musical performances.
